The Financial Times defines Africa Rising as a "improved governance means the continent is almost predestined to enjoy a long period of mid-to-high single-digit economic growth, rising incomes and an emerging middle class."
It has been particularly associated with the democratisation of African states since the end of the Cold War, comparative peace, greater availability of mobile phones and the Internet, and increase in African consumer spending as well as a growth in entrepreneurship.
In the decade between 2005 and 2015, the economy of Africa as a whole increased by 50 per cent in contrast with a world average of 23 per cent.
The future of our company
Our vision is to expand our product line to continue serving the demand for African agro-processed goods, both in west Africa and around the world. To accomplish this, we have several initiatives to enhance our ability to both build demand and service demand. Our flagship product is Tambour Original sodabi, and we believe there is already-existing demand to expand the product line. We’ve recently launched a 2nd flavor of Tambour Original, a clear, un-spiced variant of sodabi that is capturing a different flavor profile and customer segment. Horizontal product line expansion within the Tambour Original line may include additional infusions and flavors, and we continue to monitor the market demand and customer feedback to evaluate those options. For vertical product line expansion, we have in our inventory an Extra Aged ultra-premium version of our Tambour Original product line, which have been aging in imported French Oak barrels since 2013.
As we continue to build production capacity and employee competency, we can leverage economies of scale to address tertiary customer segments through additional brands and even entirely new bottled beverage product lines in addition to sodabi. As we evaluate the core competencies of our company, we are monitoring ways to leverage our assets to increase value for stakeholders. As such, we believe there are ways to leverage our assets to diversify revenue streams. Several of these initiatives are already underway, including our on-premises Distillery Tours, Restaurant, & Cocktail Bar. In addition, we have several other expansion initiatives that we aspire to implement, once we’ve built the capabilities to maximize the chance of success. If you share this vision, do not hesitate to contact us to discuss ways to facilitate these expansion efforts.
